The Year 7 & 8 study program, the “Breadth Stage”, meets the Victorian Curriculum standards and the specific needs of our students through a differentiated learning approach with a particular emphasis on developing strong literacy and numeracy skills across all subject areas. Students have the opportunity to obtain a taster of specialist subject areas to further develop and enhance their critical and creative thinking skills.
Year 7
The Year 7 curriculum contains the common set of knowledge and skills required by students for life-long learning, social development and active and informed citizenship as they transition into their secondary school years.
Subjects
Subjects taught at Year 7 are a combination of year-long and semester-long subjects. Students undertake a semester of Italian and a semester of Chinese in order to give them a “taste” of what each language entails.
