“We are a proud school with high expectations. We expect our students to maximise their potential and strive to be the best they can be. I wish all of our class of Year 12, 2016 every success in the future. Believe in yourself. Believe in your ability to do the very best you can. On behalf of the entire staff and every student at Reservoir High, we wish you all the very best for your future endeavours.” A full transcript of the speech is published in the Term 4 Newsletter.
An excerpt of the valedictory speech, given by Michael and Latisha follows.
“You should all be proud of what you have achieved throughout the 13 years of schooling and most importantly, making it all the way to here. Year 12 is no doubt the most challenging, stressful year of formal education and it’s not about how hard you get hit, it’s about how you can get hit and keep moving forward.”
They went on to give special thanks to all of their teachers, Mr Jessup, Ms Volpe, the Careers Team, the Student Wellbeing Team, Ms Cross and especially Mr Zoran Trajkovic, the Year 12 Coordinator.
