This is an annual combined event with the 2/14th Battalion, Kingsbury Primary School and ourselves and an event we look forward to immensely.
Our special guests, the veterans & 2/14th committee members were full of praise and pride at all of the student presentations from both schools and love meeting one & all in the conference room before & after the service.
Our Yr 7 student presenters were brilliant (Blessmol, Dina, Violet, Natasha, Amelia O, Teishalee & Kaitlyn M- reading on behalf of Chantelle F) as was Yr 11 student Amber Robertson – our 2018 Bruce Kingsbury Scholarship recipient. Kingsbury PS students also presented wonderful accounts of their experiences on Anzac Day with the Battalion and walking the 1000 steps.
Jack Maddinson had the honour of reciting the Ode to the Fallen followed by the amazing Mr Howard Cornish from the 2/14th with the Last Post followed by a minute silence & The Rouse.
Special thanks to Ms Barker, Ms Duhandzija, Ms Michael & Ms Neophytou for all their work preparing the Yr 7’s in Humanities classes in recent weeks.
Thankyou to Ms Fairfax, Ms Ryan, Ms Reilly and Ms B Busuttil for organising the morning refreshments & wreaths & support staff for assisting after morning tea.
